Hello!

I am a British
freelance photographer and food writer based in Oslo.

In 2008, after several years in London and craving a different pace of life, I moved to the northern climes of Norway with its majestic mountains and sparkling fjords.

I live in Oslo with my Norwegian wife, our two young girls, and a growing infestation of Bratz dolls.

Thank you for stopping by my blog. As they say in Norway, "velkommen!"

  6. Really enjoy reading your blog, although it is with great envy - I long for the seafood at home, as I am stranded in Kazakhstan. What better way to imagine oneself away from mutton and into Maaemo than to follow your nibblings!

  7. Hello British bloke married to a lovely Norwegian girl!

I just discovered your blog, and have quite enjoyed many of your posts. Question....
A girlfriend and I are sneaking away from the kids and the men in our lives for a weekend of shopping in Oslo. (We live in Lillehammer) Where would you suggest we dine Friday evening? Maaemo looks enticing, but I am slightly worried Dream Baby will not let me out of the house again if we go there;)

  9. I just discovered your blog in desperate search for fresh meat. You have some useful links about/in/around Oslo. I will give them a try but I am severely getting depressed due to the food-quality here.

My better half (a norwegian) and me just moved from Germany to Norway and frankly both of us feel it was a mistake. Strangely enough our destination is London. So we are doing the reversed thing that you guys did.

I'll keep following this blog and will make another post if there is anything new I discover myself here that is worth mentioning - foodwise.

    regards
